Can You Use Watercolour In The Leuchtturm1917?

In the past, I’ve talked a lot about how to use a bullet journal. You don’t want to spend all your time decorating your bullet journal and forget to use it as a planning tool. I’m not saying you can’t decorate your bullet journal at all. I enjoy decorating my bullet journal pages, I don’t decorate to the same extent as some others who use bullet journals. But I do use a lot of art supplies in my bullet journal. And today I want to answer an interesting question, can you use watercolour in the Leuchtturm1917? I’ve used several different notebooks as bullet journals, but the one notebook I’ve used…

7 Creative Hobbies You Need To Try

I am a designer and as such, I have many creative hobbies. I love having these hobbies because it allows me to be creative without worrying about deadlines or trying to please specific people. But having creative hobbies has also helped me with my design work. So today I wanted to do something a little different and share some creative hobbies you can try. I’ve tried to select a broad range of hobbies in terms of cost and the skill you need to get started. I think especially while lockdown continues, and the fact this pandemic could be around for a good while yet, it’s a good idea to have…

Experimenting With Cyanotype At Art School

Over the last few years, I’ve taken on all sorts of different design projects. Through this, I’ve learned new techniques like screen printing, video production and animation. Ever since I bought my first SLR camera I’ve wanted to try film photography. In the past year at university, I’ve been able to try out film cameras and even process my own film. From this, I’ve come across what I think is the most interesting photographic technique: cyanotype. Before starting art school cyanotype was something I had never really come across. I vaguely knew it had something to do with technical drawings but not much more. It’s surprising to me that in…

My Thoughts On Art School After One Year

I’ve been at art school for a full year now and I thought I would do a little recap. I will explain my expectations before starting my graphic design course. How they have changed now I’ve been on the course for a year. And how those changes are both positive and negative. Before starting art school I found it very difficult to get information on what a graphic design course would actually cover. Of course, you can always check the university prospectus. But they seem to be very similar at each university I applied to. What I know now is that a course can vary depending on the university you…

Is Skillshare Premium Worth The Price?

I’ve been using Skillshare for a good 4 years now. Skillshare is a learning platform where you can find tutorials on a huge number of subjects. I’ve found some really useful tutorials which have helped me with coursework at college and university. Some classes on Skillshare are free but you have to pay to access most of the content on the site. Last year I signed up to a 12-month Skillshare Premium plan. I got a great deal, only paying half of the full price. Looking back over the last year Skillshare has been a really useful resource. I’ve used it to help me with university and personal work. So…
