What I Keep In My Bag For Art School

A long time ago I decided that at some point during my university education I would share a what’s in my bag type post. I know how cliched these types of posts have become but I wanted to do it. Just based on reading a few other similar posts I think what I take with me to university is quite different compared to other students. I’m not saying this in an oh I’m so special sort of way. But art students have different needs compared to English or science students so I thought it would be interesting to share what I keep in my bag for art school.  If things…

    My Lockdown Year At University

It’s been so long since I wrote a blog post I’m not quite sure how to start this. So hi. My name is Emma. I write about stationery and notebooks and various other related bits. The last post I shared was back in September of 2020. I had just made the transition from my old domain name to this: The Paper Kind.  Side note: can I just say how much I love the new name for my website. I’m so glad I took the time to find a name that resonated with what I want to do in the future. I’ve had a few people message me saying how much…

How I Stay Organised At University

Today I want to share how I stay organised at university. Higher education is different for many reasons. At school, you’re told what to do and to an extent forced to do it. University is very different, there is no one making sure you’re attending class or doing work. University forces you to take control of your learning, lecturers are there to help and guide you. But they can only help if you put the effort in. Today I want to share some organisational tips I’ve figured out which help me to do my best at university. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome so I’m not the sort of person who…

My 2020 Bullet Journal & Planner Set Up

My planning system has changed a lot over time. You hear people talk a lot about finding planner peace and that has been a huge problem for me in the past. I’ve never been able to figure out a system which worked. This year is different because I’ve finally found a system I love. Even though it’s a little late I thought I would share my bullet journal and planner set up for 2020.  Hopefully, this might give you a few ideas on how you could set up your planing system. I’ve started using a combined bullet journal and planner system. Something I’ve always wanted to try but could never…

Mossery Academic Planner | Thoughts & Review

It has become very obvious to me is that I need to be organised if I want to get all my university work finished. This is something I find difficult doing if I have lots of projects on the go at the same time. As much as I love my bullet journal it isn’t helpful all the time. So I decided to take the plunge and try a Mossery Academic Planner.  I’ve used a number of different Mossery products in the past and have always been impressed by the high quality of their stationery. Over the summer of 2019, I decided to try out one of their Academic Planners. Mossery…
