    The Downside of Self-Hosting WordPress

As I’ve mentioned a few times before I’ve had a self-hosted WordPress blog for about a year and though there were good reasons as to why I chose to make the move. I’ve had a number of problems with self-hosting WordPress which have got so annoying I genuinely considered moving to some other blogging platform. MY PROBLEMS WITH SELF-HOSTING WORDPRESS As I’ve mentioned before my problems with WordPress started right away while transferring over to my new host. My Experience With Moving To A Self-Hosted Blog

I’ve had a self-hosted blog for just under a year now. At the time I wrote a post about some of the reasons why I moved to a self hosted blog. But today I thought I would share my experience of actually moving over. At that time of my life I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with myself. I was working…

But I have also begun using Paid Discovery, essentially advertising my blog on StumbleUpon. Paid Discovery is separate from StumbleUpon so if you already have a SU account you need to make another. Creating a campaign is very similar to the process of adding a page on the regular SU. First you choose a page to promote, then you choose who you want to see the page. Normally I narrow down…

If you’re a blogger there is a good chance you’ve heard of SEO. Or search engine optimisation. If you’re anything like me you probably know about SEO but have no idea where or how to get started with implementing it on your blog. Today I am going to share a few simple ways I have improved the overall SEO on my blog. WHAT IS SEO SEO (search engine optimisation) is the process of gaining organic traffic from search engines. So say someone searched for Muji Planner review found my link and ended up on my blog. That was the result of SEO. Search engine rankings are quite complicated but essentially…
