How I Stay Organised To Manage My CFS

I’ve mentioned this a few times before but I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It has taken a while but my CFS has improved enough that I almost have enough energy to live a relatively normal life. I don’t work but I am currently studying graphic design, I also run this blog which takes up a surprising amount of energy. Some of the symptoms of CFS include long-term fatigue, muscle pain, headaches and brain fog. There are also many others. One of the big signs of CFS is called post exertion malaise. This meaning you experience fatigue some time after expending energy. Think of health bars in games. People with CFS…

    The State of the Ninja

It has been four months since I last posted so I thought I should give a little update on where I’ve been. The short explanation is I’ve been ill. I got a cold right at the start of January and it took till around March for it to properly go away. Then in April I had some weird back and abdominal pain which I ended up needing scans for. Not joking there is only one other time I’ve even been in that much pain. It wasn’t fun. This then caused my CFS to relapse and my doctor told me to take it easy for a while. I can however announce…

A Day Trip To London To See Lazarus

Way back at the start of December my Dad and I took a quick trip to London to see Lazarus. The new musical written by David Bowie before he died. Here is what happened. We started off the day by getting the first train from Edinburgh to London. I wouldn’t really recommend this but it worked out that getting the train there and home on the same day was cheaper than getting a hotel. With most musicals this would have been totally impossible but Lazarus is in Kings Cross theatre (just next to the station) and it’s much shorter than typical musical. BRITISH LIBRARY We got to London for around…

    Looking Back On 2016

I’m going to start with the obligatory is it 2017 already? Didn’t David Bowie die just a little while ago? How has another whole year passed. All joking aside 2016 has been a pretty good year for me. Here are some of the best bits. I’M A GRAPHIC DESIGNER I spent quite a lot of time at college. It took me nearly a full year to accept the fact that I’m a graphic designer and actually be brave enough to add that to my Twitter profile (it sounds silly but it was a big deal to me). HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD During the summer I went to see…

    A Winter’s Afternoon In Glasgow

I had a really nice afternoon in Glasgow the other day. I went to the cinema with a friend before trying out a new Asian place for lunch. Then checked out the Christmas Market at George Square. Here is what I got up to. I was a 90s kid and as such grew up during the time where (in my opinion) the best Disney movies were released. Seriously from 1990 to 2000 Disney Animation made 12 movies including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan and The Emperors New Groove. The problem with that being when I think of Disney…
