Lazarus by David Bowie and Enda Walsh

Last December I went to see Lazarus which was the musical written by David Bowie and Enda Walsh. This musical is a sort of continuation of The Man Who Fell To Earth. If you have time go look at how Bowie was inspired by his previous songs to create something new. It’s so cool to see Space Oddity turn into Ashes to Ashes. Major Tom then appears again in the Blackstar music video where he has died on the moon and all that is left is a skeleton in a space suit. It might be a little depressing but it’s also really cool to see the progression. THE MAN WHO FELL…

A Day Trip To London To See Lazarus

Way back at the start of December my Dad and I took a quick trip to London to see Lazarus. The new musical written by David Bowie before he died. Here is what happened. We started off the day by getting the first train from Edinburgh to London. I wouldn’t really recommend this but it worked out that getting the train there and home on the same day was cheaper than getting a hotel. With most musicals this would have been totally impossible but Lazarus is in Kings Cross theatre (just next to the station) and it’s much shorter than typical musical. Visiting The House of MinaLima In London

I may not have mentioned this before but I am a tad obsessed with the graphic design work from the Harry Potter movies. An exhibition of the graphic design work from the Potter movies recently opened in London and it is possibly my new favourite place. It’s called the House of MinaLima. Named after Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima who were the graphic designers that worked on the Harry Potter movies. THE HOUSE OF MINALIMA The House of MinaLima is free to get into and right behind the Palace Theatre. So if you’re down in London seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child you have no reason not to visit. The exhibition…

A Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Theatre Review

I’m going to talk some more about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. To be more specific I’m going to talk about spoiler elements. If you haven’t seen the play I highly recommend you go see it before reading this post. If you still haven’t made up your mind about seeing the play you should read my spoiler free review instead. HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD AT THE PALACE THEATRE I think my favourite thing about seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was how they used the theatre. From the tiny details like the gryffin lanterns outside to the little cherubs inside holding lights (fun fact: while Priscilla…

Visiting Cosmonauts At The London Science Museum

This is something I meant to post weeks and weeks ago so I apologise for talking about Christmas when it’s the last thing anyone want’s to think about right now.  I apologise for writing about this post so close to the Cosmonaut exhibition closing. You still have 6 weeks if you want to see it (and you should). I know later on I’m going to complain quite a lot about it. If you have any interest in the space race Cosmonauts is something you have to see. COSMONAUTS AT THE LONDON SCIENCE MUSEUM My dad is currently working down in England so at the start of December I took the train down…
