A Guide to Effective Goal Setting for Artists

As an artist, it can be difficult to set meaningful goals. We all want to be better at art but as a goal “getting better” is almost impossible to achieve. Instead what you should aim for is setting specific goals for your art, so you know when you’ve completed them. That sounds easy enough in theory, but in practice, it can be harder to implement. I’ve been wanting to share my process for setting goals in my artist journey, specifically through using personal projects as a way to track my learning and improvement. It’s something I’ve found extremely useful in recent years as I figured out what I want to…

    A5 Filofax Finsbury Planner Review

Something you may not know about me is that I was a Filofax fan long before I got into bullet journaling. While I still love bullet journaling, the way I use my bullet journal has changed significantly over the past few years. What I needed from a planner has changed and that eventually led me to buy an A5 Filofax Finsbury ring-bound planner. I do still intend to use the bullet journal system in this new ring binder. During that time my…

How To Set Up A Minimal Bullet Journal & Spread Ideas

I think it wouldn’t be too dramatic to say I’d be lost without my bullet journal. It’s the thing which keeps me on track and reminds me where and what I’m supposed to be doing on any given day. Over the years I’ve tried getting creative with my bullet journal, trying lots of ways to add colour and make it look visually interesting. But the way my bullet journal works best for me is when I prioritise function over creativity. I love my minimal bullet journal, and in a world of perfectly created bullet journal pages. I think it’s important to highlight that your bullet journal doesn’t have to look…

How I Use Notion To Stay Organised

I was a little late to the Notion bandwagon when I started using it last year. It was a little tricky to get started but I watched many YouTube videos and figured it out. I have to admit I find it useful for keeping certain documents organised. So today I want to share how I use Notion to stay organised and also highlight some of the areas where Notion doesn’t work so well.  How I Use Notion To Stay Organised What Is Notion Notion is a piece of free productivity software. You could think of it as a series of linked pages which uses databases as a way to store…
