    Tom’s Studio Mechanical Pencil Review

As a calligrapher, I spend a lot of time working with pencils. Pencils tend to be far more practical (and quicker) for drafts and working in my sketchbook. I also just so happen to be a huge fan of mechanical pencils so when I found out last year that Tom’s Studio was releasing a mechanical pencil I just had to try it. About Tom’s Studio Tom’s Studio is a small company based in England which specialises in high-quality calligraphy pens and other writing tools. A Quiet January Vlog & Organising The Studio 🖍️ Studio Diary #6

A Quiet January I’ve had a very quiet start to the year. It’s been nice having a bit of a rest because I was very busy in the run-up to Christmas. I’ve been using the free time to work in my commonplace book a little more. I’ve always been fascinated with patterns and came across a book about pattern design on archive.org. The particular book I’m reading at the moment is called Pattern Design by Lewis Day. A Guide To Starting A Commonplace Book

We are living in the golden age of the internet, where everything one might want or need is available at our fingertips. Sites like Pinterest, Tumblr and Notion give us the ability to save anything we might like, but at the same time, the decline of websites like Twitter are a useful reminder that you do not truly own anything that is saved on those sites. It may come as no surprise then that in this digital age, it is becoming more and more common to revert…

My 2024 Planner Setup & Stationery Pal Haul 🖍️ Studio Diary #5

In this video, I’m sharing my 2024 planner setup. My planner has gone through huge changes in the last year. Usually, I would be continuing in a bullet journal, however, my bullet journal became more work-focused in 2023 and this in turn led me to using a Filofax planner. I wrote last year about The Artist’s Way, a huge component of this is something called Morning Pages. This is where you take some time every morning to do a free writing session. The proper way of doing this is to write three pages but I found this takes a long while to write. However, I did get into a good…

My 2023 Bullet Journal & Notebook Setup

Another year is over and I thought this would be the perfect time to share my bullet journal set-up for 2023. The way I use my bullet journal hasn’t changed much over the last 12 months. I’m still using the same notebook as 2022 (fingers crossed I can fit the whole year in the 150 pages I have left. But I like seeing these posts so I thought I would share mine. Lessons from my 2022 bullet journal 2020-2021 was a weird time for me. I graduated from university and I didn’t realise just how much that would change the way I used my bullet journal. During that time my…
